  1. When Thomas Paine first wrote “Common Sense” it was called “Plain Truth”. He changed it at the suggestion of friends. Perhaps it is stronger- better today to refer to it as
    “Plain Truth”.
What may be more at the suppression of the future of mankind is the foundation of religion and that as Paine believed that there should be just one God and the abolishment of Organized Religion. Paine was opposed to any organized central power that suppresses the rights of men and their pursuit of happiness. Big Government and Big Churches enslave men by fear and intimidation for control and material gain. For these principles it can never be righted that somehow by elections we can eliminate the enslavement. Your voice, your freedom must be earned and for that a price must be paid.
If it is to be then it requires a conscious sacrifice of reason and comfort. Paine eventually died alone and without fanfare. But true to the end he would not compromise his principles nor his belief that all men were basically good and deserving.

Muchas Gracias for showing us. paine had many ideas we wish were in place today. More of the men in his time should have listened to what he had to say. thanks for making links for us to get more.

  4. Readers. Please read Paine, Jefferson and all of the insights offered in predictions they made for the changes that would come someday. That day has come…

  7. Hello. I like this article . It was informative. I own a blog too, and believe Thomas Paine was truly an American hero. I never want to ignore the truth nor believe that religion can solve anything.

You know what you’re doing, on the quotes of the great men. it is amazing how there were so many great men available at the time of the great revolution to debate the merits of democracy and form the government that does allow for improvement. It is important to improve it and to probably give it a major overhaul. Paine more then anyone seemed to know this.

The authoring is definitely quite persuasive and this is most likely the reason why I am making my opinions known. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Next, while I can certainly see a jumps in logic you make, I am definitely not convinced of how you seem to connect the points that help to make the final result. For the moment I will, no doubt subscribe to Paine and his beliefs of anti-federalism however it was hard to sell in his day and it will be even harder to sell today. Unless there is a complete collapse of course of society and one can argue that it is beginning worldwide already and could easily spread to this country if things get bad enough for the have not’s…for that reason I agree that some alternatives way to do things should be considered and also that they can be implemented fast.

  10. Awesome website you have here but I was wondering if you knew of any user discussion forums that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really love to be a part of group where I can get comments from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

  11. It’s wonderful to have you on our side, and to know that there are those willing to speak out for freedom and to make it known that there is a new day coming! Making less government is only possible with starting with no government.

  12. Interviewman says:

Under the United States Constitution, the President of the United States is the head of state and head of government of the United States of America. As chief of the executive branch and head of the federal government as a whole, the presidency is the highest political office in the United States by influence and recognition. The president is also the Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces. The president is indirectly elected to a four-year term by an Electoral College (or by the House of Representatives should the Electoral College fail to award an absolute majority of votes to any person).

  13. thanx for the Civil Studies synopsis. Not only do 8 out of 10 graduating seniors from US schools not know this, a good percentage do not even know who the President is…OR DO ThEY CARE!!!

  14. Dont think so, check again Eric Giving trillions to bankers is Fascism and Clinton started it. Lay off the sauce man. Just say no to Social Democracy. It hasnt been working for us in a very long time.

I like your attitude! (And your summation of the facts is quite articulate and reasonable.) My biggest complaint with crypto-zoological skeptics is their damned self-assurance and certainty. We have only had a technological civilization studying our world for 150 years at best yet the skeptics are 100% certain we already know everything there is to know about it, and by god, the rest of the universe as well!

  16. the universe is speeding out of control and nobody knows where to…

  17. A new document has surfaced “For the 99% – The New Common Sense” and is making waves on the internet. The Constitution is all We The People have ever really had to force change. Leaders have sworn to uphold it. Now let’s make them do their job. At least give it a shot. I’ve been following this document and promoting it. Let’s do our job and tell them we demand they keep their promise and uphold the Constitution. This declaration is a MUST read : Or listen to it here :
